Emigrating from England to Montgomery, NY, Thomas Chambers started his journey in 1850 and purchased the property now claimed by Chambers Tractor Sales.
Starting a business, later to be family owned and operated for over 150 years, he started a farm consisting of dairy cattle and horses, and throughout its time it has incorporated harness sales, livery stables, and sales. As part of the community, each of the four generations that have made great efforts to give back to the community. Whether it was providing horses to pull the fire trucks or hosting events to display appreciation for the community, the Chambers family has always put one foot forward. Chambers Tractor Sales Inc. was established in 1965 as a Ford dealership. After four generations, the family business has changed and grown into a prospering New Holland Dealership and is changing and growing day by day. The Chambers business legacy of 14 acres, is presently recognized for their award winning tractor pulls and upholding their novelty family traditions.
